Get ready for a ride, these always blow you away. And yes, it slams into you like a tsunami of shards of salt, punchy peat, sharp white smoke, grapefruit rind, wintergreen and menthol, driven by a shimmering wall of translucent power, austere yet grand. Give it a bit of time and this one reveals a clean earthy side of kaolin and medicinal roots, some powdered leaf perhaps echinacea (a rather asian smell to me) and patchouli. Remains a blade, dripping with peat oil, takes no prisoners to the end. 92 pts
