Longmorn 16 yo 1972 / 1988 Intertrade 58.8%
Quality check is complete. A tight and dense bouquet of unmistakable depth, a closed fist of sharp oranges and yellow citric fruitiness. Full of red plum skins, crystalized orange and lemon rinds, petitgrain oil, cedar and camphor wood, elemi and anointing oils. The quality of these 70s Longmorn is exemplary. Aniseed candy, resins that sway between aromatics and medicine, sacred woods and a thin white smoke. But also hints of black coal dust and a menthol cigarettes, unlit. A soot streaked mineralic edge remains, as does lamp oil and cold glass. Envelopes the senses. 93 pts
