Rosebank 15 yo ceramic Zenith Italia 50%
Tasted at Limburg but I’ve neglected to take a photo. No surprises, its a lemony and oily Rosebank, full of cereals, cold butter and clear vegetable oil. But its not exactly fresh either, rather we get echoes of old malt and dark little dusty granules of wax in old camphor cabinets. Dried up meadow flowers, dessicated citrus slices and scattered pine needles in a rustic potpourri. The mouth brings some cracked pepper and arugula salad sans dressing. Ends on grass juice and austere minerals. Reminds me of some recent Glen Gariochs at this stage. An uncomplicated soul. Interesting to think about this next to the other 15 yo Zeniths at 50% and 61%. 87 pts
