As expected its a beastly sherry. Or if not sherry then a goopy churn of coffee powder, Worcestershire sauce, chicken cubes, bubbling brown sauces in sooty saucepans, plus volumes of black pepper, oregano and soy sauce. Close to a marinade, so intensely savoury and umami that you can’t help but salivate. And yet, I detect no sulphur or burnt girstle, no mean feat! Now concentrated black tea, molasses, medicinal bark tincture, polished Camphor, dark incense, and bitters, on and on. 93 pts For sheer size and panache.
