Springbank 29 yo 1993 / 2022 Animal Spirits #95 46.4%
A Singaporean bottler, and they have chosen well! Exemplary 90s Springbank, funky type. Diesel fumes, a clean fruity funk, sea soaked sackcloth, dunnage floor, salt water and salted things generally. Sooty lamps, unlit coal and oiled metal tools. Something like hay, cooked orange, which is rather different from fresh orange and a spinach-y oxalic acid. Oh tart green fruit on the tongue, buckets of salt. Indeed a rather salty one, and plenty of that Springbank funk like overripe honeydews turning mushy. Tart greens at the end. 91 pts
