One of these old speysiders that can seem quite highland in style, if regions means anything to you. Dried orange zest, grapefruit, dried apricot and thin honey, leaf litter, woody petitgrain, crushed orange leaf and Hojicha. So rather narrow and chiseled, and not exactly easy. Crumbly plaster walls, soot and whiffs of gunsmoke. Little pinches of mixed herbs and crushed pepper. Something sour like saurkraut and orange rind in granite pestles mixed with mineral oil. The combination is a mineralic and citric sharp, which belies the some weight it balances on rather narrow shoulders. 89 pts
