Tennessee Bourbon 8yo 2016 / 2024 Whisky Sponge 57.1%

Very much what you would expect from Jack or George, though not intensely woody as these Americans go. This one shows nice layers of fine leather, floral elements, molasses and creamy corn sweetness balanced with an ever present spice, dry and punchy. The palate brings a little welcome surprise with some soot, charred wood and what feels like a spice warehouse afire. Very easy with some ice. 86 pts
