Glen Ord 23 yo 1973 / 1997 Rare Malts 59.8%
Certainly old school – Old shops filled with old things, grease flecked with grime and soot. Fur coats, dirty candle stubs and old honey. I find a real sense of muskiness and also earth. This time yellow clay soil and potting mix. Powdered herbals in satchets, a tad pungent. Great potential but a little too dirty. I wouldn’t be too judgmental, might have been a bottle issue. 86? pts
