So much whisky, so little time | Singapore | Tasting Notes

Bruichladdich 16 yo 1968 / 1968 for Intertrade 55.5%

The 21 and 15 by Intertrade were excellent, lets see about this one. Well there is depth but not a particularly easy one. Thin resins and brittle old waxes, old trinket boxes of camphor wood with yesteryear’s dried meadow flowers and dried out mint leaves. Old brown paper. Also smears of coal dust and waxed hemp string. An earthy side emerges, smelling of dried mushrooms, fallen pine needles and dusty old bark. On the palate candied orange peel and aniseed rock, black pepper, hacks cough drops so, never a dull moment. 91 pts
