The nose is immediately complex and expressive with thick chutney, orange blossom water, honey, apricot jam and thick with oils and sweet pastries. Stewed and sweet. Hints of spearmint, bay and rosehip tea abound. Longmorn of these years are truly wonderful. The palate takes off in a different direction with the addition of quite some crushed white pepper as well as wax paper and sap stained gauze, diced white mushrooms but also just a hint of vase water. The palate is jarringly given the sublime nose, but eventually resolves into an aftertaste of juice and jam. Not the best example but the mold is superb. 88 pts
