So much whisky, so little time | Singapore | Tasting Notes

Springbank 30 yo Milroy Selection 50% ~ early/mid 70s distillation

This is one to make you question your lack of Springbank. Monumental. Phenomenal. Huge yet perfectly round without no rough edges. Golden apricot danishes and stewed yellow fruit, salt air tang and the phenolic growl of spilt lamp oil and black cods of earth. A cocktail of honey, petrol, lime cordial and gently cardamom. Paraffin soot and smears of peat. A touch of chinchona, merest hint of iodine .. words falter as the whisky goes on and on with giant steps. Getting saltier and more phenolic. 94 pts
