So much whisky, so little time | Singapore | Tasting Notes

Teaninich 17 yo 2001 Manager’s Dram 58.3%

Well everything is rather upfront – fresh buzz of green apples and ripe citrus, buttery shortbread, clean malt, some light nut oil gives it medium weight and viscosity. White pepper and plenty of white heat follow. Very much like Teaninich this. Shredded paper and crushed leaves. That’s about it. Despite the lightness on the nose the tongue has some weight, and also oak driven sweetness. Coconut flesh, syrup, zinc cans. The whole goes down easily without need for much thought. 86 pts
