Liquefied summer dreams. Honey, apricots, sweet cinnamon and warm nutmeg. The ripest oranges in the sun, cantaloupe, golden raisins, so wondrously fruity and yet I also find dry loam, bark and warm granite walls. The best western style jasmine tea. A touch of lawnmower exhaust even. the development takes off on the tongue and we have a plethora of flavours like mint tea, cucumbers, unripe guava and green mango chutney. Vibrant, shimmering and radiant. 93 pts

Very close. Again full of golden warmth and dazzling fruit. Chunky marmalade, honeyed baklava, golden pineapple puree, candied peel, cinnamon and nutmeg lend a gentle mulled quality. Brightly aromatic resins like mastic, frankincense extract, oils and warm stones, yet its myriad complexities are held together with a compact density. Sunny and joyous. On the tongue it explodes into shades of zesty fruit and hot minerals without the whisky losing its firm acerbic hold. A lump of coal somewhere about and finally ginger and lemongrass for a green tinged finish. Another gorgeous whisky. 93 pts
