Rosebank 26 yo 1967 / 1994 Signatory  #4397 51.7%

Wonderful old Rosebank, slightly dusty and thinly resinous with brittle but clear layers of flaking resins. Just slightly sooty, with a lump of coal here and there, but full of waxed citrus peels and earthy oils. Also dusted with old clove, cinnamon and pepper powder, the sort you find at the back of the cabinet that’s lost its pungency but retains a sweet warm glow. Little notes of liquorice root, tobacco in tins, and birch tar. Excellent. 92 pts

Rosebank 25 yo 1967 / 1993 Signatory #4393-4394 54.4%

Very similar in style but a lot livelier with accentuated notes of pine sap and green resins like galbanum and an accentuated pungency. Again plenty of earthy oils that lean a little phenolic, and coal and lamp oil, old books, and stiffened glue. Another old glory. Many little warming notes of tobacco dried up honey, wax and dry spices. 92 pts
