A different style, richer perhaps and more mature but less innocent. The bourbon oak casts shades of forest floor and woodspice. Though the waxiness is still universally apparent but accosted in all directions by the seductions of hot toffee, leather, tobacco and coconut cream, now it’s not that I don’t appreciate devious stares in my direction. And perhaps it is a road worth travelling after all – wood char, acorns, twiggy undergrowth, patchouli leaf and some burnt clay. Evening wear. 88 pts
