Recalls Port Charlotte without the seaside. Massively peaty Japanese distilled Scottish Malt at high proof and young age. Much can go wrong but little has. It is clean from top to toe, no hint of feints or immaturity, yet no great subtlety either. Miles of smoking BBQs and grilled meats over inordinate amounts of glowing charcoal. Ash, soot, grease droplets, bacon fat wantonly flying about, covering every surface in a meaty peaty film. Revving engines, petrol, mud and turf wetly thrown about. Glad I’ve got these rubber overalls. Plucked roots and shredded bark, glowing metal and sooty furnaces. No really, its a blast. Subtlety be damned. 88 pts
