Crystal clear and to the point. Poached pears, white wine, gentian root, ivy leaf syrup. An austere and mineral sort of Ben Nevis, the sort that very much pleases me. An excellent distillery when the stars align. 88 pts

Big minerals and no complaints again. Crumbly chalk, flinty sharp minerals, litres of white wine. Heavy body too, with argan oil and bitter lemon pith. A subdued deep heat rub warms this weighty fluidity. Whistle clean and surgical. 90 pts

Oh very interesting. Green tea, pink pepper, and an unctuous fruity oil. Copious amounts of menthol rub, green sap and undercurrents of minerals. It’s all there but beckons a deeper look. A pinch of camphor and medicinal aniseed or anise. A surprising depth within this hefty weighty spirit. A Ben Nevis with a touch of earthiness. 90 pts
