Millburn 18 yo 1978 / 1997 Gordon & MacPhail #3166 65.6%
I can count the number of Millburn experts with all the fingers on my feet. I know pitifully little myself, so allow my surprise – this is absolutely coherent and, daresay I, approachable at this strength. Creamy and thick. like a miracle syrup of cold wax, chalk, green and citric fruit pith. A sharp aromatic edge of shiso and bitter gourd sits at the tip of the tongue, along with lime leaf and crushed stones. Somewhat irascible but pure and concise. Would be a stunner in 5 years. 88 pts
