Overripe pears and oranges, fruit and fresh sea air. But its Springbank. Engine oil, musty wet earth, drops of kerosene, wet ropes, the tiniest hint of bungcloth. An earthy rooty geosmin like note say fresh pulled roots, smoke against clear skies. Crystalized oranges and peppermint leaf tea. Overall a lighter and cleaner sort of Springbank but noone said simple. Springbank, ever one of the greats. 89 pts
