A bunch of great Glenburgies were released last year, generally similar in style, but like this one all were very welcome. Butterscotch and cream, drizzled with honey, and poached yellow peaches on a buttery waffle base. Oily, weighty and coating on the palate, where a wallop of heat shows. Peppery-sweet but greenly mentholated. White sugar, white oak, cream and a potent clear ginger tea, obviously overboiled, but great for clearing the sinuses. Not the longest nor showing the most development but thoroughly enjoyable any time of the day. 88 pts
