Undoubtedly a big one, black tea, fig jam, licorice candy, cloves, black pepper, shoe polish. Full of meat and richness, almost chewy, and rather well executed too, even if the tannins and spice love running amok. A languorous conversational sherry without an abrasive oak, and a rather clean but big boned Mortlach keeps the malty gravity on. The palate shows some feisty heat and youthful (despite the age) spirit though. I think this one would be immune to ice. 88 pts
